The Subpart E program is part of the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) and offers annual certification for backyard flocks, including waterfowl, exhibition poultry, and game birds. Certified participants receive U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean status, which is recognized nationwide and internationally.
A state livestock inspector will conduct an annual on-site inspection and testing to maintain certification.
Who Can Participate?
Any person may participate if they:
- Demonstrate adequate facilities and sanitary practices
- Sign an agreement to follow NPIP and Arkansas Board of Animal Health guidelines
- Maintain compliance for the entire 12-month certification period
