To report a wildfire, call 1-800-468-8834 (24/7 Forestry Dispatch)
The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division is responsible for protecting more than 15 million acres of non-federal forestland from wildfire. Foresters and rangers respond to wildfires across the state and are actively involved in four key areas: prevention, pre-suppression, detection, and suppression.
The Forestry Division operates seven wildfire protection districts and maintains trained personnel and equipment year-round to respond to wildfire threats quickly and effectively. Prevention and education efforts are also critical parts of our wildfire strategy.
