Arkansas Forest Health Workshop

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is hosting the Arkansas Forest Health Workshop at the new Arkansas Forest Health Research Center on October 27th and 28th. The Workshop will be a two-day training opportunity for forestry professionals. Landowners are welcome as well!  The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture are collaborators for the event.

October 27th: Indoor Presentations. Confirmed presenters include:

  • Dr. Laura Sims, Director of the Arkansas Forest Health Research Center
  • Chandler Barton, Forester Manager at Arkansas Department of Agriculture
  • Dr. Jacob Hackman, Assistant Professor of Foresty Management
  • Dr. Natalie Clay, Associate Professor of Forest Health at University of Arkansas
  • Dr. Fred Raley, Director of Western Gulf Tree Improvement Center

October 28th: Field Tour. Locations near Monticello and high-occupancy vehicles available to limit number of vehicles.
