Natural Resources Division

Arkansas is rich in natural resources, from abundant water supplies to fertile land and diverse ecosystems, that support our communities, economy, and way of life.

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Division is the state’s lead agency for managing Arkansas’s land and water resources. The division administers programs and regulations that support the sustainable development and use of natural resources across the state.

The division is organized into three core sections:

  • Conservation
  • Water Resources Development
  • Water Resources Management

The Natural Resources Division partners with a wide range of stakeholders, including community water and wastewater systems, city and county governments, conservation districts, non-governmental organizations, and other state and federal agencies.
