The Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Division administers several programs to support the development and improvement of water and wastewater systems across the state. These efforts help ensure access to clean drinking water, effective wastewater treatment, and sustainable infrastructure for communities of all sizes.
The Water Resources Development Section manages three state and three federal funding programs, providing loans and grants for a wide variety of water-related capital projects. Additional special funding sources such as the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) have expanded available support.
To streamline the process, applicants use a single online application through the EnABLE portal. Division staff will determine the most appropriate funding source based on eligibility and project type.
