The Arkansas Department of Agriculture leads statewide efforts to plan, conserve, and develop Arkansas’s water resources. Through coordinated strategies and technical support, the Water Management Section helps ensure a safe and reliable water supply.
Given the broad scope of its responsibilities, the section is divided into five key areas: Dam Safety, Floodplain Management, Groundwater Protection and Management, Water Quality Management, and State Water Planning. Together, these program areas support the effective stewardship of Arkansas’s water resources statewide.
