Notice: EPA Issues Temporary Fuel Waiver Allowing Sale of E15 Gasoline

Posted on March 31, 2026

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a temporary waiver, effective March 25, 2026, allowing the production and distribution of a single national gasoline blend containing up to 15 percent ethanol (E15) at a common Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) standard of 10 psi during the summer months.

Fuel bulk terminals may continue selling ethanol‑blended gasoline in Arkansas after May 1, 2026. The waiver is currently set to expire on May 20, 2026; however, the EPA has stated that it intends to extend the waiver until present fuel supply circumstances abate. As a result, the Arkansas waiver will remain in effect as long as the EPA continues to renew the waiver throughout the summer RVP season.

Retailers and consumers may contact the Arkansas Department of Agriculture for additional information. Read the full letter from the EPA here
