Notice of Results on Referendum to Consolidate Calhoun County Conservation District and L’Aigle Creek Conservation District

Notice is hereby given that a referendum was held on April 21, 2026, on whether the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission shall approve the petition by landowners in the Calhoun County Conservation District and the L’Aigle Creek Conservation District to consolidate the two districts and their respective operations.  The results of the referendum are published in accordance with Ark. Code Ann. § 14-125-401 et seq.:

Votes cast at Calhoun County Conservation District:
Six (6) votes for consolidation
One (1) vote against consolidation

Votes cast at L’Aigle Creek Conservation District:
Seven (7) votes for consolidation
Zero (0) votes against consolidation

At its regular meeting scheduled for May 20, 2026, the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission will consider the petition and determine whether the combination requested in the petition is administratively practicable and feasible.
