Notice is hereby given that the Arkansas Department of Agriculture is amending the Arkansas Egg Marketing Rule, 2 CAR Pt. 154. Act 285 amended Arkansas Code § 20-58-207(e) to allow the repackaging of eggs in retail if the replacement egg is of the same packer, grade and size, expiration date, lot code or Julian date, brand, and cleanliness of a missing or broken egg. Amendments to 2 CAR Pt. 157, Arkansas Egg Marketing Rule, are made to incorporate the requirements to replace missing or broken eggs in a retail container. Additional amendments are made to update terminology throughout the rule.
