Upcoming Test and Fee Changes at the Arkansas Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory

Posted on July 7, 2026

The Arkansas Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (ARVDL) at the Arkansas Department of Agriculture is committed to providing cost‑effective, state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic testing while responsibly managing resources. To support this commitment and ensure continued high‑quality service, ARVDL will implement strategic revisions to its test offerings and fee structure effective August 1, 2026.

These revisions include:

  • Discontinuation of selected tests due to consistently low demand and the high cost of maintaining these services.
  • Adjustments for certain tests to help offset rising costs associated with testing supplies, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance requirements.

To ensure you have the most accurate information, both the current and revised test and fee catalogs are available for your review on our website: https://agriculture.arkansas.gov/crops-industry/laboratory-services/veterinary-diagnostic-lab/testing-and-fees/

If you have any questions, please contact the laboratory at (501) 823‑1730 or [email protected]. We appreciate your understanding and continued partnership as we work to maintain high‑quality, reliable veterinary diagnostic services for Arkansans.
