The Arkansas Qualified Prescribed Burner Review Committee was established by the Arkansas Prescribed Burning Act. The committee is chaired by the Assistant State Forester for Protection of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division. The committee reviews requirements and determines if applicants are eligible for qualification as a prescribed burner in the state and develops training to satisfy the requirements. Members are appointed by the Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture and Director of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
